Northwest Law began as The Holfinger Law Firm, founded in 2004 by attorney Jonathan Holfinger. In 2013, Jonathan merged his title company, Arrow Title Agency, with Northwest Title, and The Holfinger Law Firm became The Holfinger Stevenson Law Firm, with the addition of attorney Scott Stevenson. This expanded the firm’s reach to include many local Columbus, Ohio real estate professionals and investors. The firm grew to include attorneys in Eastern Ohio, Southern Ohio, Southwest Ohio, and Northern Kentucky. Since 2016, the firm has had practicing attorneys in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. At the end of 2021, Scott Stevenson retired and The Hofinger Stevenson Law Firm rebranded as Northwest Law. Northwest Law’s mission is to act as “counsel for the real estate industry,” providing legal services to the members of the real estate industry and their clients for both their personal and professional legal needs.
Our talented team has grown to include senior attorneys, associate attorneys, paralegals, and administrative professionals. Together, we have decades of experience serving real estate professionals, and assisting consumers with their real estate, probate, and estate planning needs. We stay current on the evolving legal landscape and give back to the real estate industry through our participation and leadership in a variety of professional associations. Our team members serve as leaders in their communities, including serving as President of the Bar Association, as well as committee members of the Ohio State Bar Association and Ohio Land Title Association. Our principals are very involved in the land title industry at the national, state, and local levels, having served varying leadership roles for associations and committees related to both land title and general real estate legal groups. Our attorneys provide many continuing education classes to members of the real estate community, as well as speaking at small informational seminars for homebuyers.
